Sign Designer

There are signs designers, and then there are experienced sign designers. What is the difference between these two? The former is great at creating customized signs, and the latter is someone who can help create signs that are not only great looking, but are also compliant with all the requirements that the ADA has set for office signs and all the other signs that you may need.

While a newbie sign designer can actually do the same thing, there are chances that they may miss a thing or two when it comes to putting together signs that require a lot of compliance features on them. Expert sign designers who have been working on these signs for years usually know on first glance what a sign design is missing. They can easily add the missing features as well when they are told where these signs are to be used.

Expert sign designers are well-versed when it comes to the creation of ADA compliant signage, and this is because they know everything there is to know about the ADA. They know what colors combinations are ideal for meeting the 70% color contrast requirements, know what finishes are acceptable and which ones are not, they know what size the characters on these signs should be according to its size, and they also know what fonts are ideal for the sign ideas that you may want them to work with. These are just a few of the things that they can do for you.

Other things you can expect your seasoned sign designer to know how to do when they help you put together your customized office signs include knowing how to translate your design ideas into compliant ones, and teaching you some of the rules that need to be followed when creating these signs. Of course, you can trust a new sign designer to know some of these things as well, but it may be a good idea to have someone with more experience and more knowledge to check the signs that your new sign designer put together just to be sure.

It is just like when you are having a house or a building constructed. If you were to choose between someone who has been building these things for decades and someone who is just getting their feet wet, so to speak, who would you trust with your edifice? Finding a sign designer who has the knowledge and experience behind them can help you easily create the signs you need without you fearing the consequences of non-compliance.
