Businesses everywhere need signs in many shapes, sizes, and configurations. These signs are found in many different areas as well, both indoors and outdoors. The main reason why these signs are utilized by these companies is because they need people to easily locate them, and to help people find their way around.

Imagine trying to locate a specific business that you need to work with, and you walk around looking for a building based only on its description and address. It would be very difficult for you to find such a building from all the others around it, if it did not have a sign that told you what building it was. Now, let’s suppose you did find the building in question. Again, without signs, how would you locate within a building with so many rooms what you are looking for if there are no signs to help you find your way around?

This is why businesses, and the buildings that house these, need custom signs, and they require many different kinds. Here are some of the more commonly used ones that such buildings and businesses use:

-      Architectural sign systems – these are a collection of signs used both indoors and outdoors, created in such a way that makes them both functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. These can include quite a number of signs that help people find their way around, tell them what room they are standing in front of, where entrances and exits are, and even what the building’s name is.

-      ADA signsthese are signs that are required by the government to follow very strict guidelines in order to enable everyone to understand what is on them. Included in the types of signs that belong to this group are those that show you where to go (directional signs), where specific offices are (directories), what room you are standing in front of (room signs), and many more. Most of these signs are found indoors.

-      Engraved signsthese types of signs can be used for both indoors and outdoors, and can be used to either show people what an office’s name is, who occupies certain rooms in that particular office, where certain facilities can be found, and so on. These signs can either be ADA compliant or not, depending on the use of the sign in question.

-      Sliding sign systemsthese are signs that can be changed instantly with the use of a different sign panel. These sliding signage holders are mounted on doors, cubicles, and any other space that can see itself being used by someone else or being used for some other purpose.
